About the Role
Our client is seeking an IT Ops, VoIP & PBX Officer who will be responsible for managing the stability and efficiency of the IT infrastructure, VoIP, and PBX systems in the Uganda office. The role ensures seamless communication operations, high system availability, and the implementation of robust security protocols to support the business’s technical requirements and operational growth.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Maintenance
Oversee daily IT operations, including proactive system monitoring, server maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize operational downtime.
Provide prompt end-user technical support for hardware and software issues.
VoIP & Communication Infrastructure
Manage and maintain VoIP and PBX infrastructure; monitor call quality and system performance to ensure reliable connectivity.
Security & Data Integrity
Implement and maintain robust security protocols, data integrity measures, and network stability.
Execute regular system backups and disaster recovery protocols to ensure business continuity.
Network & Infrastructure
Monitor and optimize office network performance to ensure connectivity meets business demands.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in IT operations, network administration, or telecommunications support.
- Strong technical proficiency in VoIP/PBX systems (e.g., Asterisk, 3CX, Cisco).
- Proven experience in network troubleshooting, server maintenance, and IT infrastructure security.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively manage technical requirements for the Uganda office.
