Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure compliance, and support the company’s financial health. The ideal candidate will have solid accounting experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, collections, and supplier payments
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial transactions
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT, PAYE, and other statutory requirements
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking for projects and service contracts
  • Monitor cash flow and support financial planning activities
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
  • Support external audits and liaise with auditors when required
  • Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to track inventory and service-related costs

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant accounting experience
  • Professional certification (ACCA, CPA – partial or full) is an added advantage
  • Experience in a trading, engineering, or service-based company is preferred

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of local tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Integrity and professionalism in handling financial information
