Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Business Development & Sales Manager with a background in sales in a n FMCG industry. This entrepreneurial role requires an ambitious and energetic Business individual to help our client expand their clientele. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients all over the country.

Job Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales:

  • Proactively source and acquire new clients without relying on internal referrals, walk-in customers, or existing databases.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives aimed at attracting high-net-worth individuals, and other key client segments.
  • Employ a consultative sales approach, educating and advising clients rather than relying on transaction-based selling.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored investment proposals that align with each client’s unique financial goals.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships with clients through moving beyond transactional interactions to one-on-one investment.
  • Provide continuous, high-touch engagement with clients to ensure that their growth in the portfolios

Sales & Market Strategy:

  • Independently develop leads, manage the sales pipeline, and close complex investment deals.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to refine sales approaches and enhance effectiveness.
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on customer satisfaction
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Promote the company’s products by addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices, budgets, bids etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support

Staffing and Mentoring:

  • The Idea candidate should be able to develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople that will benefit the team
  • Should have the ability to appraise the performance of the sales team, that they will be working with and present timely feedback to the Human Resource team for further processing
  • They should be able to manage and document the client’s sales budget of the year and manage to document core expenses focused on in financial year or quarters

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Business Development Expertise: 10 – 12 years of proven experience of business development in sales within FMCG sectors.
  • Education Background: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent of Sales and Marketing in a reputable institution, advanced certifications are considered a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building rapport with clients to establish and maintain relationships, experience in customer support is a plus
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to identify market opportunities and formulate effective sales strategies, demonstrating a strategic approach to business development.
  • Mindset: Proactive, self-driven, and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to operate independently without structured institutional sales processes.
