Job Brief

Our client is looking for a Human Resource Manager to oversee all staff-related procedures and craft HR strategies in alignment with business needs.

HR Manager responsibilities include recruitment, staff engagement, performance management, employee skilling, managing employee data, and taking steps to retain employees among others. To be successful in this role, one should have a good knowledge of labor legislation and experience hiring employees for various roles and seniority levels

Key duties and responsibilities

Develop hiring plans for every department in the hotel based on seasonal necessities.
Monitor employee working and attendance schedules including paid time off, breaks, and overtime.
Anchor recruitment of quality personnel; Assess, screen, and interview job candidates.
Organize training programs for all hotel employees such as customer service skills training, Guest Experience, etc
Serve as a liaison for employees who possess inquiries on job-related issues.
Design relevant Human Resource manuals and oversee that the hotel staff complies with relevant safety and health rules.
Maintain employee records such as contracts, visas, and work permits confidentially and discreetly.
Anchor performance Management; Ensure that every employee receives appraisals as required by hotel HR management policies and that all appraisals are reviewed and improvement needs are followed up on as needed.
Assist with the preparation, coordination, and execution of employee programs and events, such as regular staff meetings, food festivals, holiday parties, Wellness Fairs, and farewell parties among others.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, organization psychology, or related fields
5+ years of HR or hospitality management experience
Past experience with payroll or managing budgets
Good interpersonal skills and responsive demeanor
Knowledge of labor and hotel regulations and laws
Professional, organized, and can multitask
Ability to manage conflicts at work
Excellent problem-solving skills
Should be a patient listener
